Imogen is a clinical psychologist, PsyBA approved supervisor and Accredited Practitioner with the EMDR Association of Australia. She has experience supporting people with a wide range of social and psychological difficulties through her work in public health, NGO, Out of Home Care and child protection settings, and she continues to work as a clinical psychologist in the NSW Health community mental health system. Imogen’s approach to therapy is collaborative, inclusive, relational, and guided by the principles of trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.
Imogen provides therapy for people seeking help for many different concerns, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, self-harm, personality disorders, dissociation, grief and loss, and relationship stress. Imogen is an EMDR therapist and has a strong interest in the treatment of PTSD and other symptoms arising from distressing experiences. She has undertaken further training in adapting EMDR therapy for children and adolescents, and for people of all ages with experiences of complex and preverbal trauma, attachment difficulties, and structural dissociation. Imogen also draws on a range of therapeutic models and techniques according to her clients’ goals and needs, including parts work, schema therapy, CBT, DBT, and polyvagal and attachment theories.
Imogen also offers therapy for children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioural and relational difficulties, using attachment-based and family therapy approaches. Imogen works to understand and include the perspectives of young people and their family members throughout the therapy, prioritising the importance of caregiver-child relationships and supporting families to make meaningful changes together. Imogen also provides therapeutic support for caregivers seeking to improve their family relationships and build a stronger sense of confidence, clarity and self-efficacy in their parenting.
Imogen completed her undergraduate and postgraduate training at the University of Sydney, and is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) and EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA). She provides therapy and clinical supervision in person and via telehealth on Thursdays and Fridays.
