About Sally

Sally is a Clinical Psychologist with a calm and collaborative style. She aims to provide a safe and hopeful space for clients to explore their difficult experiences and work towards their goals.

Sally has completed a Bachelor of Psychology (UNSW), Master of Clinical Psychology (UNSW), PhD in Psychology (University of Melbourne), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health (Federation University). She has worked in a range of clinical settings, including university clinics, community mental health, and not-for-profit organisations. She combines her private practice work with working for the Gidget Foundation Australia.

Sally provides therapy for people across the lifespan, including adults, adolescents, children and families. She has particular interest and expertise in (but not limited to): anxiety, OCD, depression, bereavement, and relationship difficulties. She has a passion for assisting women and their families in the perinatal period as they adjust to the various challenges of becoming parents. Sally also enjoys supporting young people and adults with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) to understand their strengths and difficulties, and in supporting these individuals and their families with any associated emotional and behavioural difficulties.

When working with young people and their families, Sally works from an attachment-focused framework, incorporating both the young person and their parents in sessions. She is a certified facilitator of the Tuning Into Teens program for parents.

Sally uses a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. She is a trained EMDR therapist and is happy to discuss whether this is an appropriate treatment for clients experiencing PTSD and other symptoms arising from traumatic or stressful experiences. She is committed to working with each client to tailor therapy to their needs.

Sally is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority. She is a Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.
