Clinical Psychologist

BPsych (Hons I), MClinPsych, MACPA

Imogen is a Clinical Psychologist and member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association, and holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons I) and Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Sydney. Imogen has worked in public mental health, NGO and child protection settings providing therapeutic care for clients with a wide range of social and psychological difficulties, including issues relating to experiences of violence, abuse and neglect. Imogen has a compassionate and collaborative approach to working with clients and their families, and has a strong interest in providing trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.

Imogen offers therapy for adults experiencing difficulties such as depression, anxiety, OCD, self-harm, grief/loss and relationship difficulties, with a particular interest in treatment for PTSD and other concerns arising from the impact of distressing life experiences. In the initial sessions, Imogen aims to develop a thorough understanding of an individual’s concerns, strengths, experiences, and hopes, to then work together in planning a path towards the chosen therapy goals. Imogen’s work with adult clients involves various therapeutic approaches including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).

Imogen also provides therapy for children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, mood concerns, emotion dysregulation, and behavioural and attachment difficulties. When working with children and teens, Imogen’s approach is informed by family systems and attachment focused frameworks, meaning family members are included in assessments and therapy. Imogen works to understand and include the perspectives of the young person and their family throughout the therapy process, prioritising the importance of caregiver-child relationships and supporting families to make meaningful changes together. Imogen also provides direct therapeutic support to caregivers through a range of parenting focused interventions.

Imogen sees clients at Mindright on Thursdays and Fridays.
