Dr Rani Simpson is a clinical psychologist who has been providing therapy for over ten years. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Masters of Science at The University of Sydney and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Rani provides a warm and relaxed environment in which she provides therapy for a range of psychological concerns for all ages. Rani is experienced in treating adults with anxiety, depression, eating disorders and OCD. She completed her Doctorate on the Maudsley model of therapy for anorexia nervosa. She has been working over the past few years at a practice for children and adolescents and has experience helping families with behavioural disorders, childhood anxiety and adolescent depression and self-harm. Rani also has a particular interest in treating post-natal depression and anxiety.
Rani used integrative psychological therapy including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches such as ACT, schema therapy and attachment-based therapy. Rani has worked in private practice as well as in Child and Adolescent Public Health, at Northside Clinic Mood Disorders Unit and Wesley Centre for Eating Disorders.
Rani worked at Mindright for around seven years at Bondi Junction and has recently re-joined our practice in Lane Cove. She is available on Wednesdays at Lane Cove.
